Online payment plan gives students more options

This semester, Student Accounts began offering a new tuition payment plan. The plan gives students the option of paying tuition over a span of four monthly payments instead of in one lump sum at the beginning of each semester. The general rule is that the due date falls on the third Wednesday of the month, except for January when the payment is due on the last Wednesday.

The Natural Science Department welcomed Dr. Timothy Fisher of the University of Toledo to give his presentation on "Abrupt Climate Change and the Chronology and Confusion of Drainage from Glacial Lake Agassiz" this past Friday, for the weekly Natural Sciences Colloquium.

Cox Quartet jazzes up final music lecture

Although, the fourth installment of pianist Kenn Cox's music lecture series was called "Jazz: African American Classical Music", Cox made it very clear that jazz was not a word that he used to describe the musical genre. "No jazz musician tagged this music jazz," Cox said in a fiery tone.

Current Student Scholarships available, applications online

Most students only apply for scholarships when they first apply to college. However, the University of Michigan - Dearborn Offce of Financial Aid (FA) has a list of dozens of scholarships available to current students. FA has released the list of scholarships that can be applied toward the 2009-2010 school year.
